It is found in western North America, from [[Vancouver Island]], south to southern [[Utah]] and northern [[New Mexico]], east to central [[Colorado]], [[Wyoming]] and the [[Cypress Hills (Canada)|Cypress Hills]] area of south-western [[Saskatchewan]].
