'''EuroPark AS''' is the Scandinavian division of ATPARK with operations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. It is the largest parking operator in Norway and Denmark. Head offices are located in Oslo, Norway.
==History== The company was founded in Norway as '''A/S Lufthavnparkering''' in 1979, after it won a contract with the Civil Aviation Authority to operate the airport parking facilities at Bergen Airport, Flesland. The company expanded to other airports in the country, including Oslo Airport, Fornebu in 1983. In 1991, the company changed name to EuroPark AS. It expanded to Sweden in 1992 and to Denmark in 1995. The company was sold to ATPARK of Germany in 1999, and renamed EuroPark Scandinavia AS as a holding company for the operating companies in the three Scandinavian countries. In 2006, the company bought InterPark and Legal Parkering.<ref name=about>{{cite web |url=http://www.europark.no/cms/left/europark/index.html |title=EuroPark |author=EuroPark |accessdate=24 October 2009 |language=Norwegian |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100405092331/http://www.europark.no/cms/left/europark/index.html |archive-date=5 April 2010 |url-status=dead }}</ref>

==Criticisms== EuroPark has frequently been criticized for heavy-handed and unreasonable parking enforcement. For example, they have issued tickets to paying customers who parked with one tire on the white line demarcating the parking spot, and one guard physically assaulted a business owner who demanded an explanation for how EuroPark was treating his customers.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.altaposten.no/lokalt/nyheter/article180314.ece|title=Full klinsj med Europark|date=5 September 2008}}</ref>
Other complaints include falsely accusing customers of using multiple parking tickets to avoid time limits on parking,<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.moss-avis.no/nyheter/en-glefsende-vaktbikkje-1.5514413|title = – en glefsende vaktbikkje|date = 7 August 2010}}</ref> writing tickets for parking two minutes beyond the permitted time <ref name="moss-avis.no">{{Cite web|url=https://www.moss-avis.no/nyheter/amfi-misfornoyd-med-europark-1.5491274|title = Amfi misfornøyd med EuroPark|date = 29 July 2010}}</ref> and even ticketing owners for parking in a space where the customer had a valid, paid contract with EuroPark for the space.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.jv.dk/artikel/861932:Esbjerg--Urimelig-behandling--Niels-Peter-vandt-over-Europark |title=JV.dk - JV.dk - Nyheder - Esbjerg - Urimelig behandling: Niels Peter vandt over Europark |website=www.jv.dk |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100416164800/http://www.jv.dk/artikel/861932:Esbjerg--Urimelig-behandling--Niels-Peter-vandt-over-Europark |archive-date=2010-04-16}} </ref>
In several instances, EuroPark's enforcement has been described as so aggressive that customers avoid business where EuroPark is in charge of parking. This has led business owners and municipalities to threaten EuroPark with non-renewal of their contracts.<ref name="moss-avis.no"/><ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.moss-avis.no/nyheter/vil-sparke-ut-europark-fra-moss-1.5525276|title = Vil sparke ut EuroPark fra Moss|date = 11 August 2010}}</ref>
EuroPark has also been criticized for unreasonable policies, such as refusing to waive a parking ticket where a customer had paid for parking, but failed to display the receipt in the windshield. EuroPark's own web site cites "parking ticket fell on the floor" as an example of a situation where a ticket will not be waived - even if proof of paid parking is subsequently submitted to the company.<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://www.kontrollavgift.no/Veiviser.aspx |title=Veivisersiden |access-date=2010-09-10 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100331112414/http://www.kontrollavgift.no/Veiviser.aspx |archive-date=2010-03-31 |url-status=dead }}</ref>
If a customer is unable to pay for parking because EuroPark's equipment is malfunctioning, EuroPark's policy requires the customer to notify them of the problem at his own expense. They provide a phone number to call for equipment malfunctions, but the numbers are not toll-free.<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://www.europark.no/cms/right/p-hus-i-oslo/norges-varemesse/index.html |title=EUROPARK - the World of Parking : Norges Varemesse |access-date=2010-09-10 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100818121743/http://www.europark.no/cms/right/p-hus-i-oslo/norges-varemesse/index.html |archive-date=2010-08-18 |url-status=dead }}</ref> (Citation shows example).
