Off the ice, she held a job within the Modo organisation team office, including starting the MODO Women's Future programme, which organised practices for young girls in the region with Modo's professional women's players. For the 2017–18 SDHL season, she took a year of leave from her job with Modo to focus on playing full-time.<ref name="sverigesradio">{{cite web|date=2017-09-01|title=Modospelaren Erika Grahm elitsatsar på heltid|url=https://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=110&artikel=6768013|access-date=31 October 2020|website=Sveriges Radio|language=sv|type=Radio broadcast|archive-date=10 February 2023|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230210015131/https://sverigesradio.se/artikel/6768013|url-status=live}}</ref>

=== Brynäs IF === In June 2018, Grahm announced that she was leaving Modo to sign a two-year contract with Brynäs IF Dam which would include an off-ice position as a manager for the women's side and training towards becoming future Sports Manager for the whole organisation. The move came as Brynäs had begun a wide-ranging rebuild after suffering poor results and numerous player complaints in previous seasons.<ref>{{Cite web|last=Foster|first=Meredith|date=2018-06-15|title=Erika Grahm's Next Chapter|url=https://www.theicegarden.com/2018/6/15/17464852/erika-grahms-next-chapter-modo-hockey-brynas-sdhl-sweden|access-date=31 October 2020|website=The Ice Garden|language=en|archive-date=14 October 2020|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201014113713/https://www.theicegarden.com/2018/6/15/17464852/erika-grahms-next-chapter-modo-hockey-brynas-sdhl-sweden|url-status=live}}</ref> She would be named team captain ahead of the 2018–19 SDHL season.

In March 2020, after putting up 33 points in 33 games in the 2019–20 SDHL season and leading the club to the semi-finals for the first time in seven years, she announced that she had extended her contract with the team by another two years.<ref name="hockeysverige3">{{cite web|last=Kågström|first=Rasmus|date=2020-03-18|title=Profilen stannar i Brynäs: "Otroligt spännande"|url=https://hockeysverige.se/2020/03/18/profilen-stannar-i-brynas-otroligt-spannande|access-date=31 October 2020|website=HockeySverige|language=sv|archive-date=10 February 2023|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230210015133/https://hockeysverige.se/2020/03/18/profilen-stannar-i-brynas-otroligt-spannande|url-status=live}}</ref>

=== International === Grahm took part in the selection camp for the Swedish national team at the 2010 Winter Olympics, but failed to make the team, being the last player cut from the roster. She would make her Olympic debut in 2014, scoring 4 points in 6 games as Sweden finished in 4th, losing the bronze medal game to Switzerland. She would score 5 points in 6 games, including her first Olympic goal, at the 2018 Winter Olympics, as Sweden finished in 7th.

An assistant captain for the Swedish national team and having made over 200 international appearances, Grahm was one of the leaders of the 2019 players' strike over lack of compensation for international games and sub-standard conditions, including the decision by the Swedish Olympic Committee to cut all funding for the women's team and the team's first-ever relegation from the top IIHF division.<ref name="cbc">{{cite web|date=2019-08-15|title=Swedish women hockey players boycott training, tournament over pay|url=https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/gender-equality-swedish-women-hockey-1.5249187|access-date=31 October 2020|website=CBC Sports|archive-date=30 September 2020|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200930214650/https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/gender-equality-swedish-women-hockey-1.5249187|url-status=live}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web|last=Jay|first=Michelle|date=2019-08-14|title=43 Swedish National Team players to sit out of upcoming training camp, upcoming tournament|url=https://www.theicegarden.com/2019/8/14/20805281/43-swedish-national-team-players-to-sit-out-upcoming-training-camp-tournament-damkronorna|access-date=31 October 2020|website=The Ice Garden|language=en|archive-date=3 November 2020|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201103115833/https://www.theicegarden.com/2019/8/14/20805281/43-swedish-national-team-players-to-sit-out-upcoming-training-camp-tournament-damkronorna|url-status=live}}</ref><ref name="hockeysverige4">{{cite web|last=Karlsson|first=Måns|date=2019-06-17|title=Attacken mot förbundet: "Mot oss spelare visar de inte ett skit"|url=https://hockeysverige.se/2019/06/17/kritiken-mot-forbundet-mot-oss-spelare-visar-de-inte-ett-skit|access-date=31 October 2020|website=HockeySverige|language=sv|archive-date=20 June 2019|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190620163213/http://www.hockeysverige.se/2019/06/17/kritiken-mot-forbundet-mot-oss-spelare-visar-de-inte-ett-skit/|url-status=live}}</ref>
