Seaton was born in [[Cleveland, Ohio]]. After graduating from Ohio State University, he moved to California and quickly climbed the assistant director ladder on television shows such as [[Fox Broadcasting Company|Fox]]'s ''[[Living Single]]'' and [[Disney Channel]]'s ''[[That's So Raven]]''.
