== Life and career == Born in Bologna, Robutti attended the drama school of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, and debuted on stage in the theatrical company of Vittorio Gassman in ''Irma la dolce''.<ref name=Simonetta>{{cite book|last1=Umberto Simonetta|title=La Patria che ci è data: i testi comici del cabaret Italiano|publisher=Bompiani, 1974|page=258}}</ref> He got his early successes as a stand-up comedian and a cabaret author at the Derby Club in Milan.<ref name="Simonetta"/><ref name=gbg>{{cite news|last1=Ilaria Urbani|title=Incontro con Enzo Robutti una leggenda del cabaret|newspaper=La Repubblica|date=23 February 2010|page=13}}</ref> Robutti was also very active as a character film actor, often cast in comedies in roles of hysterical, chorelical characters.<ref name=bio>{{cite book|author1=Roberto Chiti |author2=Roberto Poppi |author3=Enrico Lancia |title=Dizionario del cinema italiano.
