The company was formerly called Enstroj and based in Radomlje.<ref name="WDLA11">Bayerl, Robby; Martin Berkemeier; et al: ''World Directory of Leisure Aviation 2011-12'', page 242-243. By May 2018 the engine was no longer advertised on the company website and seems to be out of production.<ref>{{cite web|url = http://emrax.com/|title = EMRAX|accessdate = 2 May 2018|author= Emrax|work =emrax.com}}</ref>

==Design and development== The Emrax 2 is a brushless 200 Volt design, producing {{convert|30|to|35|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}}, with an outrunner coil. It has a 94% efficiency. The low working rpm of the engine means that it can turn a propeller at efficient speeds without the need for a reduction drive.<ref name="WDLA11"/> <!-- ==Operational history== --> ==Variants== ;Emrax 2 AC :Air-cooled version, producing {{convert|30|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}} at 3000 rpm.<ref name="WDLA11"/> ;Emrax 2 LC :Liquid-cooled version, producing {{convert|35|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}} at 3000 rpm.<ref name="WDLA11"/> <!--==Applications== --> <!-- ==Survivors== --> <!-- ==Engines on display== -->
