The falls stand 142 feet high,<ref>{{Cite web|title=Emperor Falls, British Columbia, Canada - World Waterfall Database|url=https://www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com/waterfall/Emperor-Falls-2376|access-date=2021-05-16|website=www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com|language=en}}</ref> 5300 ft above sea level. After dropping over the edge of the cliff the water strikes a ledge just under halfway down, this causes the formation of a roostertail which produces a large amount of spray.
