==Biography== Edwin Theodore Sorrells was born on October 30, 1854, in Sebastian County, Arkansas, to George Washington Sorrells and Charlotte Smedley. On March 9, 1879, he married Rachel Bloodworth and the couple moved to Indian Territory. He was elected to the Oklahoma Constitutional Convention.<ref name="Necrology">{{cite journal |title=Necrology |journal=Chronicles of Oklahoma |date=Winter 1929 |volume=7 |issue=3 |pages=348-349 |url=https://gateway.okhistory.org/ark:/67531/metadc2191727/m2/1/high_res_d/1929-v7-n3_necrology.pdf |access-date=September 1, 2025}}</ref> He was elected to the Oklahoma Senate representing the 21st district from statehood in 1907 until 1915. A member of the Democratic Party, he was succeeded in office by M. M.
