Dominique Desanti

The daughter of a Russian immigrant, she was born '''Dominique Persky'''<ref name=obs/> in Paris. She served in the French Resistance during the German occupation. She was a member of the French Communist Party from 1943<ref name=who/> until 1956.<ref name=obs/> Desanti was a correspondent for ''L'Humanité'' in the years following World War II.<ref name=obs>{{cite news |url=https://bibliobs.nouvelobs.com/actualites/20110411.OBS1119/dominique-desanti-est-morte.html |title=Dominique Desanti est morte |newspaper=Le Nouvel Observateur |date=April 11, 2011}}</ref> She also taught university in the United States.<ref name=who/>
