'''Domenico Meccoli''' (4 January 1913 &ndash; 21 November 1983) was an Italian film critic, journalist, screenwriter and occasional actor. Born in Assisi, Meccoli started his career as a journalist and a film critic for the magazine ''Cinema'', and later for several decades he was film critic and chief editor of the magazine ''Epoca''.<ref name=bio>{{cite news|title=Morto Meccoli, fu direttore del Festival di Venezia|work=La Stampa|issue=276|date=22 November 1983}}</ref>
