== Career == For 25 years, Armstrong worked as a licensed physical therapist. Armstrong was executive director of the New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool. From 2004 to 2007, she was Director of the New Mexico Aging and Long Term Services Department under Governor Bill Richardson.
