'''James Daniel Corbett''' (May 1, 1949 – December 17, 2016) was an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in the Alabama Senate from 1983 to 1994.

== Life and career == Corbett was born in Columbus, Georgia, the son of James Alphus Corbett and Alice Marie Hallmark.<ref>{{Citation|title=Who's Who in the South and Southwest, 1986-1987|date=1986|publisher=Marquis Who's Who, LLC}}</ref> He attended Troy University, and served in the Army National Guard.
