'''Constantin Querard''' is a conservative political consultant based in Arizona.

==Personal life== Querard holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.<ref name=Discessio>{{cite web|title=About Constantin Querard|url=http://www.discessiollc.com/aboutcq.php|publisher=Discessio, LLC|accessdate=31 March 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140407065529/http://www.discessiollc.com/aboutcq.php|archive-date=7 April 2014|url-status=dead}}</ref> Querard moved to Arizona from Denver, Colorado,<ref name=EVT/> and is the son of a Russian mother and a French Grandfather.<ref name=NJ/>

==Political activities== Querard established the conservative Arizona Family Project.

Following the passage of a 1998 Arizona "clean elections" law, Querard became an important campaign manager in Arizona politics.<ref name=NJ/> One of Querard's first clients was Colette Rosati, who Querard convinced to run for the Arizona House of Representatives after deciding that the other Republican candidates were insufficiently conservative. Rosati, previously a homemaker, would ultimately win both the primary and the general election in her Phoenix-based district.<ref name=Riccardi/> By taking advantage of matching funds provisions and emphasizing "louder, bolder" conservatism, Querard helped lead numerous Republicans to victories in state legislative races.<ref name=NJ/>

In 2004, Querard's campaign practices were investigated by the Arizona Attorney General's Office and the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.<ref name=EVT>{{cite news|last=Templar|first=Le|title=Consultants' campaign tactics probed|url=http://eastvalleytribune.com/article_5b453ce1-2282-5ea4-8270-f1583e9a319e.html?mode=print|accessdate=31 March 2014|newspaper=East Valley Tribune|date=31 December 2004}}</ref> Querard was cleared of those matters and received an apology from the Maricopa GOP for the actions of its chairman at the time.<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.espressopundit.com/2008/02/why-the-glee.html|title = Why the Glee?}}</ref>

By 2014, Querard had 25 clients in the state legislature <ref name=NJ>{{cite news|last=Oliphant|first=James|title=How the Right Hijacked Arizona|url=http://www.nationaljournal.com/magazine/how-the-right-hijacked-arizona-20140331|accessdate=31 March 2014|newspaper=National Journal|date=31 March 2014}}</ref> and by 2016, 27 of the 52 Republicans in the State Legislature had been elected by Querard. Querard has been described as "one of the architects" of conservative control of the Arizona legislature.<ref name=Riccardi>{{cite news|last=Riccardi|first=Nicholas|title=Arizona conservatives scramble after campaign finance law's defeat|url=https://www.latimes.com/world/la-xpm-2011-jul-05-la-na-arizona-campaign-finance-20110705-story.html|access-date=31 March 2014|newspaper=LA Times|date=5 July 2011}}</ref>

In addition to his work for state legislative candidates, Querard has also consulted for other campaigns at various levels, from Mayors like Surprise's Skip Hall and Glendale's Jerry Weiers,<ref name=Weiers>{{cite news|last=Dryer|first=Carolyn|title=Candidates agree on one thing: Audit|url=http://www.glendalestar.com/news/article_b7e71d8e-e64f-11e1-8998-001a4bcf887a.html|accessdate=31 March 2014|newspaper=Glendale Star|date=16 August 2012}}</ref> all the way up to the U.S. Senate and even President of the United States (Cruz 2016)<ref>{{cite web |title=Cruz names Querard AZ State Director |url=https://blog.4president.org/2016/2015/09/ted-cruz-names-constantin-querard-as-arizona-state-director-and-jason-scalese-as-california-state-di.html |publisher=blog4president.org}}</ref>
