'''''Colaspoides''''' is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae. It is one of the largest genera in the subfamily, containing over 260 species worldwide.<ref name="Medvedev2004">{{cite journal|first=L.N.|last=Medvedev|year=2004|title=Revision of the genus ''Colaspoides'' Laporte, 1833 (Chrysomelidae: Eumolpinae) from continental Asia|url=http://zmmu.msu.ru/files/images/spec/Russ%20Ent%20J/ent12_3%20257_297%20Medvedev.pdf|journal=Russian Entomological Journal|volume=12|issue=3|pages=257–297}}</ref> It is an extant genus but there is at least one species, ''C. eocenicus'', found in Baltic amber from the Upper Eocene of Russia,<ref name="Moseyko2013">{{cite journal|first1=Alexey G.|last1=Moseyko|first2=Alexander G.|last2=Kirejtshuk|year=2013|title=On the taxonomic position of new taxa of the subfamily Eumolpinae (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) from Baltic amber|journal=Terrestrial Arthropod Reviews|volume=6|issue=1–2|pages=163–172|doi=10.1163/18749836-06021063}}</ref> and the genus has also been reported from the Miocene of the Dominican Republic.<ref name=fossilworks/>

The Neotropical species of ''Colaspoides'', including the type species, lack elytra-locking grooves on the pygidium, unlike in the Asian species and in similar-looking Neotropical Eumolpinae genera such as ''Beltia''. According to Flowers (2018), this suggests that the Asian species of ''Colaspoides'' should be transferred to different genera.<ref name="Flowers2018">{{cite journal|last=Flowers|first=R.
