==Biography== Born in Colchester in Essex in 1963,<ref name=H>{{hugman|12269}}</ref> McClean turned professional in 1987 after signing for Bristol Rovers from Essex non-League club Clacton Town. In 1991, he was transferred to Swansea City, but after making only four league appearances for the club, he moved to Northampton Town. In 1992, he returned to non-League football with Essex club Chelmsford City.
