The '''Central Combination''' was a short-lived [[association football|football]] league in central England. The league was established in 1933 to create a stepping stone for clubs looking to progress from county leagues to the [[Midland Football League (1889)|Midland League]] and initially had 17 members.<ref name=NLM/><ref name=IL>[http://www.ilsonfootball.co.uk/index.php?p=1_271_Ilkeston-FC Ilkeston F.C.] Ilson Football</ref> However, after losing around a third of its members in 1935, the league was reduced to nine clubs.<ref name=IL/> Although it gained an extra member for the 1936–37 season,<ref name=NLM>[https://nonleaguematters.co.uk/nlmnet/Aarg3EC/CenCom33.html Central Combination 1933–1937] Non-League Matters</ref> the league folded in the summer of 1937.<ref name=IL/>
