Ancient Greek tribe The Cassopaei (el) were an ancient Greek tribe living in ancient Epirus and occupying the coast between Thesprotia and the Ambracian Gulf, and bordering upon Nicopolis. Their chief town was Cassope (Κασσώπη).<ref>{{Cite Stephanus|s.v.
