It overlooks the coastline adjoining the following three bodies of water – [[Gulf St Vincent]], [[Investigator Strait]], and [[Backstairs Passage]]. The [[2016 Australian census]] which was conducted in August 2016 reports that Cape Jervis had 264 people living within its boundaries.<ref name="ABS"/>
