The cape is described as being "a low sandy point" with "its sea face is about {{convert|1|nmi|km|spell=In}} long" and having a "wooded range rises near the S[outh] part of the cape and reaches a height of {{convert|77|m|ft|abbr=off}} at Mount Benson, about {{convert|8.5|nmi|km|abbr=off}} S[outh] E[ast]".<ref name=NGA>{{cite enroute|175|2017|229}}</ref> A settlement known as King's Camp in some sources and as Cape Jaffa in other sources is located about {{convert|0.5|nmi|km|abbr=off}} to the north west of the cape.
