The club ended the title run of Alma-KTZh in Kazakhstan, with winning the 2009 national championship and cup.<ref name=hist>{{cite web|title=Club CSHVSM history|url=http://www.wfc-kairat.kz/history.html|publisher=wfc-kairat.kz|accessdate=26 July 2011|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120328053225/http://www.wfc-kairat.kz/history.html|archivedate=28 March 2012}}</ref> The club played under the name SDYuShOR-2 that season. In 2010 they successfully defended their title.

In 2011 the team changed its name to CSHVSM Kairat a tribute to the club FC Kairat, at which the club's director was involved in the 1960s.<ref name=hist />
