===2010 census=== At the 2010 census Bystrom had a population of 4,008. The population density was {{convert|5,512.5|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of Bystrom was 2,006 (50.0%) White, 79 (2.0%) African American, 62 (1.5%) Native American, 91 (2.3%) Asian, 18 (0.4%) Pacific Islander, 1,580 (39.4%) from other races, and 172 (4.3%) from two or more races.
