'''''Bruchidius''''' is a genus of beetles in the bean weevil subfamily (Bruchinae) of the leaf beetle family, Chrysomelidae. Most are native to the Old World.<ref name=sto>Stojanova, A. M., et al. (2011). [http://web.uni-plovdiv.bg/mollov/EB/2011/eb.11205.pdf A new seed beetle species to the Bulgarian fauna: ''Bruchidius siliquastri'', Delobel (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae).] ''Ecologia Balkanica'' 3(1) 117-19.</ref>
The larvae of these beetles often feed on plants of the legume family, Fabaceae. The species ''Bruchidius siliquastri'', for example, is a seed beetle named for its host, the Judas tree (''Cercis siliquastrum'').<ref name=ker>Kergoat, G. J., et al. (2007).
