Several books in the Franklin series have received awards from the [[Canadian Children's Book Centre]].<ref name='web-kcp-brenda'></ref> An animated television series ''[[Franklin (TV series)|Franklin]]'' based on the Franklin the Turtle books appeared on Canadian and American television.
