At outcrop they reach a maximum thickness of {{convert|365|m|ft}}, but up to {{convert|1168|m|ft}} has been proven from well data and a thickness of up to {{convert|2500|m|ft}} has been inferred from [[reflection seismology|seismic reflection data]].
