On 17 June 2011, the overpass was officially inaugurated, and was opened to traffic on 19 June. The project was completed in August 2011, when ramps and elevators for the tram stations were installed.

The bridge now accommodates the number 1 tram line, the only circular tram line in Bucharest that follows the inner traffic circle of the city.<ref>{{cite web| url = http://www.b365.ro/linia-34-devine-linia-1-traseu-circular-cu-42-de-statii-incepand-de-maine_80937.html| url-status = dead| archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20140305230445/http://www.b365.ro/linia-34-devine-linia-1-traseu-circular-cu-42-de-statii-incepand-de-maine_80937.html| archive-date = 2014-03-05| title = Linia 34 devine Linia 1.
