Astra Logical is a video game publisher, based in Torrance, California, that specializes in indie puzzle and strategy games.

History

In 2022, Eileen Hollinger and Josh Taylor formally launched the Astra Fund, a non-profit initiative dedicated to supporting the development of "thinking games", "cognitively challenging games whose systems and mechanics spark curiosity and require problem solving". The fund offered support in the form of project financing and self-publishing assistance. Simultaneously, the organization introduced the first round of supported titles.[1][2][3] In December 2023, Astra Fund laid off an unknown amount of employees.[4]

In January 2024, Astra Logical was founded by Heather Jackson. Operating now as a for-profit publisher based in Torrance, California, with a new focus on "systems and strategy games". [5][4][6] Prior to its formal announcement, the company had already published Snakebird Complete in 2023.[7]
