==Early life== Trace was born in Kraków, Poland. His parents immigrated to America in order to escape communism when he was two years old. He grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and later went on to study advertising at the University of Illinois<ref name="chicagotribune.com"/> where he graduated in 2001.
