India scripted history by winning back-to-back titles and becoming the first team to claim three ICC Men's T20 World Cup titles.<ref>{{cite web |title=T20 World Cup 2026: India vs New Zealand final match report |url=https://www.olympics.com/en/news/t20-world-cup-2026-india-vs-new-zealand-final-match-report |website=Olympics.com |access-date=15 March 2026}}</ref><ref>{{cite web |title=India vs New Zealand, Final – Match Report |url=https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-men-s-t20-world-cup-2025-26-1502138/india-vs-new-zealand-final-1512773/match-report |website=ESPNcricinfo |access-date=15 March 2026}}</ref> In a must-win, virtual quarter-final against the West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Arshdeep conceded only six runs in the 19th over when the West Indies had two well-set, power hitters in Jason Holder and Rovman Powell at the crease. Ravichandran Ashwin felt that it was Arshdeep’s execution in that over that broke the momentum of the West Indian innings; otherwise, India could have been chasing a target of 210–220.<ref>{{cite web |title='His 19th over was underrated': Ashwin on Arshdeep Singh |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/icc-mens-t20-world-cup/his-19th-over-was-underrated-ashwin-on-arshdeep-singh/articleshow/128950740.cms |website=The Times of India |access-date=15 March 2026}}</ref><ref>{{cite web |title=Arshdeep Singh delivers in death overs as India reach T20 World Cup semi-final |url=https://www.indiatoday.in/sports/cricket/story/arshdeep-singh-india-t20-world-cup-death-overs-semi-final-england-mumbai-2876784-2026-03-03 |website=India Today |access-date=15 March 2026 |date=3 March 2026}}</ref> In a high-scoring semi-final match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Arshdeep was able to pick up the vital wicket of Will Jacks to end his 77-run partnership with Jacob Bethell as England were closing in on India’s total of 253.<ref>{{cite web |title=India face familiar foes England in semi-finals |url=https://www.icc-cricket.com/tournaments/mens-t20-world-cup-2026/news/live-india-face-familiar-foes-england-in-semi-finals |website=ICC Cricket |access-date=15 March 2026}}</ref><ref>{{cite web |title=Axar Patel gives clear-cut answer regarding which catch he enjoyed more between Harry Brook and Will Jacks |url=https://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/axar-patel-gives-clear-cut-answer-regarding-which-catch-he-enjoyed-more-between-harry-brook-and-will-jacks-101772794185539.html |website=Hindustan Times |access-date=15 March 2026}}</ref> When India were defending 255 in the World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Arshdeep bowled his quota of four overs economically giving away only 32 runs but didn't take any wickets. Former England cricketer Mark Butcher reflecting on India’s World Cup triumph, said: “Arshdeep was incredibly skilful with the new ball. ==Playing style== Arshdeep has received praise from former India cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar commended Arshdeep for being balanced, committed, and having the right mindset for T20 cricket. He stated, ''"What I really like is that if Arshdeep has a plan, he commits to it and that is really, really important in this format as batters are going out and playing those extra shots and some innovative ones. So if you have a plan, commit to it."''<ref>{{cite web |title='What I really like is...': Sachin Tendulkar drops ultimate praise on rising India star ahead of IND-PAK clash at T20 WC |url=https://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/sachin-tendulkar-drops-ultimate-praise-on-arshdeep-singh-rising-india-star-ahead-of-ind-pak-clash-at-t20-world-cup-what-i-really-like-is-101666064487520.html |publisher=Hindustan Times |date=8 November 2022 |access-date=17 April 2025}}</ref>

Gavaskar praised Arshdeep’s ability to swing the ball and his temperament, comparing him to Jasprit Bumrah, and said, ''"I do believe that he, like Bumrah, can be a very, very good bowler in red-ball cricket as well. Because if he can move the white ball so well, just imagine what he can do with the red ball. So I think the selection committee would do very well to look at him as an option for the red-ball game as well."''<ref>{{cite web |title=Arshdeep Singh is like Jasprit Bumrah: Sunil Gavaskar backs pacer to play Tests soon |url=https://www.timesnownews.com/sports/cricket/arshdeep-singh-is-like-jasprit-bumrah-sunil-gavaskar-backs-india-pacer-to-excel-in-red-ball-cricket-article-110976216 |website=Times Now News |date=13 June 2024 |access-date=17 April 2025}}</ref>

I didn't expect him to be so open about sharing local knowledge—how wickets behave, what the ball does—but his inputs were very, very helpful.”<ref>{{cite web |title=IPL 2025: Marco Jansen, Arshdeep Singh star in Qualifier 1 PBKS vs RCB |url=https://www.indiatoday.in/sports/cricket/story/ipl-2025-marco-jansen-arshdeep-singh-qualifier-1-pbks-vs-rcb-2732222-2025-05-29 |website=India Today |publisher=Living Media India Limited |date=29 May 2025 |access-date=21 February 2026 |url-status=live}}</ref>

He has expressed appreciation for all the guidance and support he has received from captain Rohit Sharma, former coach Rahul Dravid, and fellow fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He has spoken very favourably about his early coaching under Jaswant Rai, as well as his association with former Punjab Kings bowling coach Damien Wright.<ref>{{cite news |author= |title=How Arshdeep Singh yorked his way into the Indian team |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/ipl/top-stories/how-arshdeep-singh-yorked-his-way-into-the-indian-team/articleshow/91764688.cms |work=The Times of India |date=May 24, 2022 |access-date=April 20, 2025}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |last=Sportstar |title=Arshdeep Singh interview: 'Dravid, Bumrah, Rohit have been guiding lights' |url=https://sportstar.thehindu.com/cricket/arshdeep-singh-interview-t20-world-cup-2024-india-cricket-news-dravid-bumrah-rohit/article68392355.ece |work=Sportstar |publisher=The Hindu |date=28 February 2024 |access-date=20 April 2025}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |title='Thank you for everything, coach saab': Arshdeep Singh's post for Rahul Dravid goes viral |url=https://www.msn.com/en-in/sports/cricket/thank-you-for-everything-coach-saab-arshdeep-singh-s-post-for-rahul-dravid-goes-viral/ar-BB1pkCTY |work=MSN |date=18 January 2024 |access-date=20 April 2025}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |title=Punjab Kings snap up former Hurricanes coach Damien Wright |url=https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-15/punjab-kings-xi-snap-up-former-hurricanes-coach-damien-wright/13248128 |work=ABC News (Australia) |date=15 March 2021 |access-date=20 April 2025}}</ref>
