{{Short description|Telephone area codes in northeast Ohio, United States}} {{Use mdy dates|date=March 2026}} {{Use American English|date=March 2026}} {{Ohio area codes image map}} '''Area codes 330 and 234''' are telephone area codes in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for a part of northeast Ohio. The numbering plan area (NPA) includes the cities of Akron, Canton, Youngstown, and Warren.

Area code 330 was established on March 9, 1996 in an area code split of area code 216. It was Ohio's first new area code since the creation of NANP in 1947.

Area code 234, originally planned as the relief code for the Jacksonville, Florida area, was established on October 30, 2000, to form an overlay plan for the service area. Ten-digit dialing has been mandatory since October 1, 2000.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.pickocc.org/publications/telecom/Ohio_Area_Code_Update.pdf |title=Ohio Area Code Update |work=The Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel |year=2006 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20081231163156/http://www.pickocc.org/publications/telecom/Ohio_Area_Code_Update.pdf |archivedate=2008-12-31 }}</ref><ref>{{cite news |title=Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio, Consumer Column |first=Betty |last=Lin-Fisher |work=Akron Beacon Journal |publisher=Knight-Ridder/Tribune Business News |date=October 1, 2000 |url=http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-6476082_ITM }}</ref>
