It was legally registered for the first time in 1993. The party was small, but despite it small size, the branch was able to get a decent footprint in Jordanian media through its leader, Fuad Dabbour. The party was less known than its pro-Iraqi counterpart, the Jordanian Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party.<ref>{{cite book|author=Staff writer|author-link=Staff writer|page=120|title=Jordan in Transition|publisher=Palgrave Macmillan|year=2002|isbn=978-0-312-29538-7}}</ref> Fuad Dabbour was the party's Regional Secretary.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.cablegatesearch.net/cable.php?id=08AMMAN1446&q=ba-ath|title=Dabour ...
