==Career== Tembo previously played 284 matches and scored 15 goals for Odense BK,<ref>{{cite news|work=The Times|author=Del Mar, Oliver|title=Nomads search for their dreams|url=http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article879546.ece|date=2003-02-17|accessdate=2009-06-25 | location=London}}{{dead link|date=September 2024|bot=medic}}{{cbignore|bot=medic}}</ref> having joined them in the summer of 1997. Prior to that he played for Zamsure FC. He also had a one-season spell at Marseille.

Tembo earned 35 caps for the Zambia national team. In 2012, he was selected to Odense BKs all-time top-11 "De største striber" (The greatest "stripes") by OBs fans.
