'''Amaghu''' ({{langx|hy|Ամաղու}}) is an abandoned village in the Areni Municipality of the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia.

== History == The village was populated by Azerbaijanis. In March-April 1989, the ethnic Azeri population was deported because of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Most of the population went to Nakhichevan. Armenian refugees who were deported from different settlements of Nakhichevan and Azerbaijan settled in the village.<ref name="balayan">{{cite encyclopedia|title=Karabakh Liberation War|encyclopedia=Ղարաբաղյան ազատագրական պատերազմ 1988-1994|publisher=Հայկական հանրագիտարան հրատարակչություն|location=Armenia|id=|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=yOJoAAAAMAAJ&q=%D5%82%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A2%D5%A1%D5%B2%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6+%D5%A1%D5%A6%D5%A1%D5%BF%D5%A1%D5%A3%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%B6+%D5%BA%D5%A1%D5%BF%D5%A5%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A6%D5%B4+%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%B6%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A3%D5%AB%D5%BF%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%B6|access-date=18 February 2021|date=2004|page=[https://hy.wikisource.org/wiki/%D4%B7%D5%BB:%D5%82%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A2%D5%A1%D5%B2%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6_%D5%A1%D5%A6%D5%A1%D5%BF%D5%A1%D5%A3%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%B6_%D5%BA%D5%A1%D5%BF%D5%A5%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A6%D5%B4_%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%B6%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A3%D5%AB%D5%BF%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%B6_(Karabakh_Liberation_War_encyclopedia).djvu/612 612]|language=hy|isbn=9785897000234|last2=Balayan|first2=Zori|last1=Ayvazyan|first1=Hovhannes}}</ref>
