'''Altishofen''' is a municipality in the district of Willisau in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. On 1 January 2020 the former municipality of Ebersecken merged into Altishofen.
==History== Altishofen is first mentioned around 1184-90 as ''Alteloshovin''. In 1190 it was mentioned as ''Alteloshoven''.<ref name=HDS/>
==Geography== thumb|Aerial view (1957) Altishofen has an area, {{as of|2006|lc=on}}, of {{convert|5.7|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}. Of this area, 51% is used for agricultural purposes, while 38.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 10.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.3%) is non-productive (rivers).<ref name=SFSO/> {{as of|1997|alt=In the 1997 land survey}}, 38.72% of the total land area was forested. Of the agricultural land, 47.05% is used for farming or pastures, while 3.82% is used for orchards or vine crops. Of the settled areas, 4.86% is covered with buildings, 2.43% is industrial, and 2.78% is transportation infrastructure. The municipality is located in the ''Wiggertal''. It consists of the village of Altishofen and the hamlets of Eichbühl.

In the 2007 election the most popular party was the CVP which received 59.5% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SVP (16.9%), the FDP (13.4%) and the Green Party (5.4%).

In Altishofen about 67.7% of the population (between age 25–64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either university or a ''Fachhochschule'').
