== Political career == From 2009 to 2012, Aline Trede was a member of the City of Berne Parliament (City Council) as a representative of the Green Alliance. She was president of the ''Association for More Humane Vehicles'', the supporting association of the so-called Stop Offroader Initiative. She is a former coordinator of the Young Greens Switzerland. From 2008 to 2012, she was vice-president of the Green Party of Switzerland.
Aline Trede took over the National Council seat of her party colleague Franziska Teuscher, who resigned, on 4 March 2013, but lost it again in the 2015 renewal elections. In the parliamentary elections of 20 October 2019, Trede was directly elected to the National Council for the first time after twice moving up for the Greens.
