She was designed by Reichel/Pugh, and built by McConaghy Boats, Sydney, Australia, using [[Carbon fiber reinforced polymer|carbon fibre composite]] construction. Southern Spars of [[Auckland]], New Zealand, built her [[Mast (sailing)|mast]]. She has a fixed bulb [[keel]].
