It was dissolved in 2001 and replaced by the [[Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee]] following the replacement of the [[Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (United Kingdom)|Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries]] with the [[Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs]].
