He was a participant in the first [[Sanremo Music Festival]] in [[Sanremo Music Festival 1951|1951]].

Togliani's version of the song "{{lang|it|[[Parlami d'amore Mariù]]|i=no}}" was used in the commercial of the perfume [[Light Blue (fragrance)|Light Blue]] by [[Dolce & Gabbana]].
