Defending champions are AS Vita from Kinshasa. Seventeen teams entered the competition. TP Mazembe won the championship.<ref>{{cite web|title=TP Mazembe wins championship|url=http://radiookapi.net/sport/2011/10/16/vodacom-super-ligue-tp-mazembe-sacre-champion-de-la-linafoot/|publisher=radiookapi.net|accessdate=19 October 2011|language=French|date=16 October 2011}}</ref>

==Changes from 2010== A new format was introduced. In contrast to the previous season, the final round is made up of eight teams in one group. In 2010 eight teams were divided into two groups of four with the top two finishers advancing to yet another group stage. The winner of the group of 8 will be the champion.<ref name=system>{{cite web|title=New system explained|url=http://www.lepotentiel.cd/2011/03/la-phase-classique-de-lavodacom-super-league-demarre-le-9-avril.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120402132230/http://www.lepotentiel.cd/2011/03/la-phase-classique-de-lavodacom-super-league-demarre-le-9-avril.html|url-status=dead|archive-date=2 April 2012|publisher=lepotentiel.cd|accessdate=17 September 2011|language=French|date=31 March 2011}}</ref> <ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20120402132230/http://www.lepotentiel.cd/2011/03/la-phase-classique-de-lavodacom-super-league-demarre-le-9-avril.html new format 2011 year]</ref>
