# Optics Valley Square station

It served as the southeastern terminus of Line 2 until February 19, 2019, when the extension of [Line 2](/mw/index.php?title=Line_2,_Wuhan_Metro&action=edit&redlink=1) to [Template:Stl](/mw/index.php?title=Template:Stl&action=edit&redlink=1) opened. It entered revenue service on December 28, 2012. It is located in [Donghu New Technology Development Zone](/mw/index.php?title=Donghu_New_Technology_Development_Zone&action=edit&redlink=1).[1] It is one of the busiest stations in the Wuhan Metro network, reportedly serving 210,000 people on May 1, 2014.[Template:Citation needed](/mw/index.php?title=Template:Citation_needed&action=edit&redlink=1)[2] It is an interchange station between Line 2 and [Line 11](/mw/index.php?title=Line_11,_Wuhan_Metro&action=edit&redlink=1), and is also planned to serve [Line 9](/mw/index.php?title=Line_9_(Wuhan_Metro)&action=edit&redlink=1).
