**Zulkifli Hamzah** (born 17 May 1959) is a Malaysia former [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for [Terengganu](/source/Terengganu_FA) and the [Malaysia national team](/source/Malaysia_national_football_team).[1]

## Career

Zulkifli was born in [Kelantan](/source/Kelantan). He was a squad player for [Malaysia national team](/source/Malaysia_national_football_team) in the [1980 AFC Asian Cup](/source/1980_AFC_Asian_Cup). He scored two goals in that competition, scoring in drawing 1–1 against [South Korea](/source/South_Korea_national_football_team) and losing 3–1 against [Kuwait](/source/Kuwait_national_football_team) in the group stage.[2][*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

He also part of the Malaysian team that [qualified](/source/1980_Asian_Olympic_Qualifying_Tournaments) to the [1980 Olympic games](/source/Football_at_the_1980_Summer_Olympics) Moscow which Malaysia boycotted.[3] Malaysia won the play-off against [South Korea](/source/South_Korea_national_football_team) with a 2–1 score in the [Merdeka Stadium](/source/Merdeka_Stadium).[4]

Zulkifli is married to Noraini Ismail and they have a son and three daughters.[1]
