**Zlatko Vitez** (born 22 June 1950) is a [Croatian](/source/Croatia) theatre and film actor. He also served as the Croatian [Minister of Culture](/source/Ministry_of_Culture_(Croatia)) in the period between October 1994 and November 1995 in the [Cabinet of Nikica Valentić](/source/Cabinet_of_Nikica_Valenti%C4%87).

Vitez was born in [Varaždin](/source/Vara%C5%BEdin) and graduated from the [Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art](/source/Academy_of_Dramatic_Art%2C_University_of_Zagreb) in 1972. He went on to appear in about a hundred theatre productions at several prominent theatres, including the [Gavella Drama Theatre](/source/Gavella_Drama_Theatre) and the [Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb](/source/Croatian_National_Theatre_in_Zagreb).[1]

Between the mid-1970s and late 1990s he also appeared in a number of Croatian television and feature films,[2] most notably the leading role in [Zvonimir Berković](/source/Zvonimir_Berkovi%C4%87)'s 1985 film *[Love Letters with Intent](/source/Love_Letters_with_Intent)* (*Ljubavna pisma s predumišljajem*).
