==Geography==
It lies in Outer Somogy, approximately {{convert|8|km}}  southwest of [Tab](/source/Tab%2C_Hungary) and {{convert|20|km}} south of [Lake Balaton](/source/Lake_Balaton).{{cn|date=August 2022}} The wildlife in the surrounding area includes deer, wild boar and foxes.{{cn|date=August 2022}}

==History==
Zics was first mentioned as ''Zvch'' in 1295. In 1478, the settlement belonged to György Zichy. During the [Turkish occupation](/source/Ottoman_Hungary), it was depopulated. German settlers came in the 18th century at the invitation of the [Zichy family](/source/Zichy_family) who revived the village.{{cn|date=August 2022}}
