**Zaida James** (born 30 October 2004) is a Saint Lucian [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who plays for the [Windward Islands women's cricket team](/source/Windward_Islands_women's_cricket_team) in the [Women's Super50 Cup](/source/Women's_Super50_Cup) and the [Twenty20 Blaze](/source/Twenty20_Blaze) tournaments.[1][2][3] In April 2021, James was named in [Cricket West Indies](/source/Cricket_West_Indies)' high-performance training camp in Antigua.[4][5] In June 2021, James was named in the West Indies A Team for their series [against Pakistan](/source/Pakistan_women's_cricket_team_in_the_West_Indies_in_2021).[6][7]

## International career

On 30 January 2023, it was announced that James had been added to the [West Indies](/source/West_Indies_women's_cricket_team) squad for the [2022–23 South Africa women's Tri-Nation Series](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_South_Africa_women's_Tri-Nation_Series).[8] She made her [Twenty20 International](/source/Women's_Twenty20_International) debut later that day, against India at [Buffalo Park](/source/Buffalo_Park), [East London](/source/East_London%2C_South_Africa) in South Africa.[9] She was named in the West Indies squad for the [2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup](/source/2024_ICC_Women's_T20_World_Cup).[10] James was part of the West Indies squad for the [2025 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier](/source/2025_Women's_Cricket_World_Cup_Qualifier) in Pakistan in April 2025.[11]
