In the [Hebrew Bible](/source/Hebrew_Bible), **Zaham**, meaning "loathing",[1] was the son of [Rehoboam](/source/Rehoboam), king of [Judah](/source/Kingdom_of_Judah), and Mahalath. He was a grandson of [Solomon](/source/Solomon).[2]

[2 Chronicles 11:19](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Chronicles+11:19&version=nkjv) notes that all of Rehoboam's sons were appointed to positions within the fortified cities of the kingdom.
