**Zac Stuart-Pontier** is an American [film editor](/source/Film_editor), host and producer.[1] He is known for his work on the [HBO](/source/HBO) documentary *[The Jinx](/source/The_Jinx_(miniseries))*, *[Catfish](/source/Catfish_(film))* and *[Martha Marcy May Marlene](/source/Martha_Marcy_May_Marlene)*.[2][3]

## Life and career

Zac was born in [Honesdale](/source/Honesdale%2C_Pennsylvania), [Pennsylvania](/source/Pennsylvania). He graduated from [NYU's](/source/New_York_University) [Tisch School of the Arts](/source/Tisch_School_of_the_Arts). In 2010, he edited and co-produced the film, *[Catfish](/source/Catfish_(film))*, premiered at the [2010 Sundance Film Festival](/source/2010_Sundance_Film_Festival).[4]

Zac is the co-host and co-creator of the true crime podcasts *[Crimetown](/source/Crimetown)* with [Marc Smerling](/source/Marc_Smerling), which debuted in 2016 and quickly became the most popular U.S. podcast on [iTunes](/source/ITunes).[5] They also co-created *The RFK Tapes* a Crimetown Presents podcast about the [Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy](/source/Assassination_of_Robert_F._Kennedy).
