**Yzeure** (izœʁ) is a [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [department](/source/Departments_of_France) of [Allier](/source/Allier) in the [Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes](/source/Auvergne-Rh%C3%B4ne-Alpes) region of central [France](/source/France).

## Location

The commune is located in the north of the [Allier department](/source/Allier_(department)).[2] It is the fifth most populated commune in the Allier department, according to the 2021 census.[3] It borders the commune of Moulins to the west and southwest.[4]

By roads, [Nevers](/source/Nevers) is 57 km to the north, [Bourges](/source/Bourges) is 100 km to the northwest, [Clermont-Ferrand](/source/Clermont-Ferrand) is 106 km to the south-southwest, [Mâcon](/source/M%C3%A2con) is 133 km to the east, [Beaune](/source/Beaune) is 145 km to the northeast, [Auxerre](/source/Auxerre) is 157 km away, and [Lyon](/source/Lyon) is 188 km to the southeast.[5]
