Shima was born on July 12, 1959. She played for [FC Jinnan](/source/Nissan_FC_Ladies). The club won [1979 Empress's Cup](/source/1979_Empress's_Cup). At the final, she scored a winning goal and was selected MVP awards.

==National team career==
In June 1981, Shima was selected [Japan national team](/source/Japan_women's_national_football_team) for [1981 AFC Championship](/source/1981_AFC_Women's_Championship). At this competition, on June 7, she debuted against [Chinese Taipei](/source/Chinese_Taipei_women's_national_football_team).
