In [2018](/source/2018_World_Wrestling_Championships_%E2%80%93_Men's_freestyle_61_kg) Bonne became world champion by defeating [Gadzhimurad Rashidov](/source/Gadzhimurad_Rashidov) of [Russia](/source/Russia) in the final match, 6-5. Bonne is also a two-time Olympian, having competed in [freestyle wrestling](/source/freestyle_wrestling) at both the [2012 Olympics in London](/source/Wrestling_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_freestyle_60_kg) and the [2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro](/source/Wrestling_at_the_2016_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_freestyle_57_kg).
