It was the location of [Di Xin](/source/Di_Xin)'s imprisonment of [Ji Chang](/source/King_Wen_of_Zhou) (posthumously King Wen of Zhou).<ref>[Sima Qian](/source/Sima_Qian). ''[Records of the Grand Historian](/source/Records_of_the_Grand_Historian)''.</ref> It was during this captivity that he was said to have constructed the [64 hexagrams](/source/Hexagram_(I_Ching)) of the ''[Classic of Changes](/source/I_Ching)''.

It is thought to have been located at the site of present-day [Tangyin County](/source/Tangyin_County), [Henan Province](/source/Henan).
