**Yordan Minchev** ([Bulgarian](/source/Bulgarian_language): Йордан Минчев; born 17 October 1998) is a Bulgarian professional [basketball](/source/Basketball) player for [Niners Chemnitz](/source/Niners_Chemnitz) of the [Basketball Bundesliga](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga). Standing at 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in), he plays both the [small forward](/source/Small_forward) and [power forward](/source/Power_forward) positions.

## Professional career

Minchev made his professional debut with [Levski Sofia](/source/BC_Levski_Sofia) during the 2014–15 season of [Bulgarian Basketball League](/source/National_Basketball_League_(Bulgaria)) and played in five games. Same season, he also played 5 times for the team in [Adriatic League](/source/2014%E2%80%9315_ABA_League).[1] During the 2015–16 season, he played 27 times in Bulgarian League and also played 14 times in [Balkan League](/source/2015%E2%80%9316_BIBL_season).[2]

On November 2, 2016, Minchev signed a six-year (2+2+2) contract with [Fenerbahçe](/source/Fenerbah%C3%A7e_Men's_Basketball).[3]

On 13 February 2017, Minchev was loaned to a Serbian club [Vršac](/source/KK_Vr%C5%A1ac) for the rest of the 2016–17 season.[4]

On October 1, 2017, Minchev was loaned to Macedonian club [MZT Skopje](/source/KK_MZT_Skopje_Aerodrom) for the 2017–18 season.[5] On March 9, 2018, he left MZT Skopje.[6] He finished the 2017–18 season playing with [PBC Academic](/source/PBC_Academic) of the Bulgarian [NBL](/source/National_Basketball_League_(Bulgaria)).

In October 2018, he joined the [İstanbul BŞB](/source/%C4%B0stanbul_B%C3%BCy%C3%BCk%C5%9Fehir_Belediyespor_(basketball)).[7]

On September 16, 2019, he has signed with [Levski Lukoil](/source/BC_Levski_Sofia) of the [NBL](/source/National_Basketball_League_(Bulgaria)). [8]

On July 18, 2021, Minchev signed with [OSE Lions](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=OSE_Lions&action=edit&redlink=1) of the Hungarian [Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A](/source/Nemzeti_Bajnoks%C3%A1g_I%2FA_(men's_basketball)).[9]

In 2022, he returned for a third stint at Levski Sofia.[10]

On August 14, 2024, he signed with [Spirou Charleroi](/source/Spirou_Basket) of the [BNXT League](/source/BNXT_League).[11]

On June 27, 2025, he signed with [Niners Chemnitz](/source/Niners_Chemnitz) of the [Basketball Bundesliga](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga) (BBL).[12]

## National team career

Minchev played with the junior national teams of Bulgaria. In 2017 he made his debut with the [Bulgarian senior national team](/source/Bulgaria_national_basketball_team) playing in the [2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification](/source/2019_FIBA_Basketball_World_Cup_qualification_(Europe)).[13]
